Staggered setups put more rubber where a rear-drive car puts down power, look right on cars designed around them, and add mild understeer at the limit which most manufacturers consider a safety feature. The cost is that you cannot rotate, so rears wear out faster and get replaced in pairs.Winter packages are the other common reason to buy a car package. A dedicated set of winter tires on their own smaller-diameter wheels is cheaper than mounting and dismounting twice a year, protects your expensive summer wheels from road salt, and takes twenty minutes to swap in your own driveway.
