Suspension & Chassis: the questions people ask
Will I need an alignment after fitting this?
If the part changes ride height or moves a suspension pickup point, yes. Camber and toe both shift when ride height changes, and driving on the wrong alignment scrubs the inside edge off a new set of tires within a few thousand miles.
What else does a ride height change require?
Past about two inches of lift you are usually into extended brake lines, longer sway bar end links and often a driveshaft or carrier bearing spacer. Ride height also changes what tire diameter clears, which changes your effective gearing and your speedometer reading. Plan the whole chain rather than one part at a time.
Are these sold individually or in pairs?
It varies by part, and the title and specification table say which. Suspension parts are frequently sold per side or per axle, so check the quantity before ordering rather than after.
Can I fit this at home?
Spacers and bolt on dampers are a driveway job with hand tools and proper stands. Anything involving compressing a coil spring, releasing a torsion bar or unbolting a control arm needs the right tools and is safer at a shop. A compressed spring holds enough energy to kill.
How fast do orders ship?
Orders ship from a United States warehouse, normally within 1 to 3 business days of clearing. Orders over $199 ship free, and below that a flat rate is shown at checkout before you pay. Tracking is emailed as soon as the shipment is created.
What can I return?
Unmounted, uninstalled parts in original packaging can be returned within 30 days. A wheel that has had a tire mounted on it, and a tire that has been fitted, cannot be returned because neither is new any more. That is why we check the fitment data on every order against the vehicle you give us before it ships.
Can someone check fitment for me before I order?
Yes, and it costs nothing. Send us the year, make, model, trim and what is on the vehicle now, and we will tell you what fits, what will rub and what it takes to clear.
