Will this fit my vehicle?

Your vehicle needs a 5x110 bolt pattern, clearance for a 16in x 7in wheel, room for a +35mm offset. Bolt pattern has to match exactly. Diameter, width and offset decide whether the assembled wheel clears your brakes, suspension and fenders.

Wheel fitment guide, bolt pattern guide and offset explained.

American Racing AR105M TT-M 16x7 5x110 G-BLK/MCH +35MM is a wheel in a 16x7 fitment, drilled 5x110. Every number that decides whether it bolts on and clears is published below, including the measurements most listings leave you to work out yourself.

What these numbers mean for your build

This wheel runs a moderate positive offset, which is where most factory and OEM style fitments sit. The tire stays under the fender line and steering feel stays close to stock. Offset is measured from the mounting face to the centreline of the rim, so it is the number that decides where the tire ends up relative to your fender and your suspension. Compare it against what is on the vehicle now: a 25mm change is enough to move a tire from tucked to rubbing.

Working backspacing out from that offset gives 5.38 inches. Backspacing is the measurement from the mounting face to the inboard lip, and it is the one that tells you whether the inner barrel will clear your strut, upper control arm or brake caliper. It is the more useful of the two numbers when you are measuring clearance with a straight edge across the hub.

Bolt pattern is 5x110: 5 studs on a circle of that diameter. This has to match your vehicle exactly. There is no tolerance in it and no adapter that makes a near miss acceptable on a road car. The same pattern is also written 5x4.33, and cross shopping between the metric and imperial spelling of one pattern is the commonest way people end up with a wheel that will not sit flat.

A 7 inch wide rim carries tires with a section width of roughly 205 to 255mm. Staying inside the range the tire manufacturer approves keeps the sidewall at the shape it was designed to run, which is what keeps the tread flat on the road and stops the shoulders wearing early. Going wider than the rim supports rounds the tread off and costs you both grip and tread life.

Fitment checklist

  • Confirm your vehicle uses this exact bolt pattern. It is the one number with no tolerance.
  • Check the wheel centre bore against your hub. If the wheel bore is larger, fit hub centric rings so the wheel sits on the hub rather than hanging on the studs.
  • Measure your existing offset or backspacing and compare it with the figures above before you commit.
  • Check brake caliper clearance, particularly if your vehicle has a big brake package or a towing brake option.
  • Work out your tire size before ordering, not after. Overall diameter has to clear the fender at full lock and under compression.
  • If your vehicle has direct TPMS, budget for a set of sensors for this set of wheels.

What you may also need

  • Lug nuts or bolts in the correct seat type. Aftermarket wheels frequently use a conical seat where the factory used a ball seat or a mag seat, and the wrong seat will not hold torque.
  • Hub centric rings if the wheel bore is larger than your hub.
  • TPMS sensors, programmed to your vehicle, if you are running this as a second set.
  • A torque wrench. Guessing at torque is how wheels come loose and how studs get stretched.

Install and care

Torque the fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer specification in a star pattern, never in a circle, and never with an impact gun on the final pass. Re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles: fresh mounting surfaces settle and the clamp load drops. This one step prevents most loose wheel incidents.

Clean with a pH neutral wheel cleaner and a soft brush. Acidic cleaners and wheel cleaners designed for factory painted rims will stain machined faces, polished lips and chrome, and that damage is not covered by any finish warranty.

Ordering, shipping and returns

Unless the title says set or package, the price shown is for a single item. Set the quantity in the cart for a full set. Orders ship from a United States warehouse, normally within 1 to 3 business days, and orders over $199 ship free. Tracking is emailed as soon as the shipment is created.

Unmounted and uninstalled parts in original packaging can be returned within 30 days. A wheel that has had a tire mounted on it, or a tire that has been fitted, cannot be returned, because neither is new any more. That is why we check the fitment data on every order against the vehicle you give us and contact you before shipping if something does not add up. If you are not certain, send us the year, make, model, trim and what is on it now and we will confirm it first.

Shipping

Everything ships from a United States warehouse. Orders normally leave within 1 to 3 business days of clearing, and you get a tracking number by email the moment the shipment is created. Orders over $199 ship free. Below that a flat rate is calculated at checkout before you pay.

Wheel and tire packages ship mounted and balanced on a pallet or in individual boxes depending on size, and take a day or two longer to leave because they are assembled to order.

Returns

Unmounted and uninstalled parts in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Start a return by emailing us the order number and we will send a return authorisation and instructions.

Two things cannot be returned, and it is worth knowing why before you order. A wheel that has had a tire mounted on it is marked by the machine and is no longer new. A tire that has been fitted to a wheel has been stretched over a rim and cannot be certified as unused. Both are industry standard. It is also the reason we check the fitment data on every order against the vehicle you give us and contact you before shipping if something does not add up.

Damaged or wrong item

If something arrives damaged or is not what the order says, tell us within 48 hours with photographs and we cover the return shipping and put it right. That is on us, not on you.

Questions people ask about this part

Will this wheel fit my vehicle?

This wheel is drilled 5x110, so your vehicle has to use that exact bolt pattern. After that, three numbers decide clearance: diameter (16in here), width (7in here) and offset (+35mm here). Compare those against what is on your vehicle now. If the offset is lower than stock the wheel sits further out, which can rub the fender; if it is higher it tucks in and can catch the strut or brake caliper.

What tire size should I run on this wheel?

A 7in inch wide wheel has a usable tire section width range of roughly 30 to 50mm on either side of the rim width. Staying inside the tire manufacturer approved rim width range keeps the sidewall shaped the way it was designed to be, which matters for handling and for how evenly the tread wears. Our tire size guide walks through the conversion, and if you tell us your vehicle and how it is set up we will give you a size that clears.

Is this price for one wheel or a set of four?

Unless the title says set, package or a quantity, the listed price is for a single wheel. Set the quantity to four in the cart for a full set. Wheel and tire packages are listed separately and are priced as a complete assembled set.

Do lug nuts, center caps and TPMS sensors come with it?

Center caps are normally included by the wheel manufacturer. Lug nuts and TPMS sensors are not: aftermarket wheels often need a different seat type of lug nut than your factory ones, and TPMS sensors have to be programmed to your vehicle. We stock both, and if you tell us your vehicle we will tell you which lug nut seat and thread size you need.

Do these need hub centric rings?

If the wheel centre bore is larger than your vehicle hub, yes. Hub centric rings take up that gap so the wheel sits on the hub rather than hanging on the studs, which is what stops steering wheel vibration at highway speed. They cost a few dollars and are worth fitting every time the bores do not match.

How fast does it ship and what does shipping cost?

Orders ship from a United States warehouse, normally within 1 to 3 business days of the order clearing. Orders over $199 ship free; below that a flat rate applies at checkout. You get a tracking number by email as soon as the shipment is created.

What if it turns out not to fit?

Unmounted, uninstalled parts in original packaging can be returned within 30 days. Wheels that have had tires mounted on them and tires that have been fitted cannot be returned, because they are no longer new. That is exactly why we check fitment against the vehicle details on your order before shipping and contact you if something looks wrong.

Is the checkout secure?

Payment runs over an encrypted connection and is handled by the payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Your address is used for shipping and for confirming fitment, and nothing else.

Still not sure? Send us your year, make, model and current tire size and we will tell you what fits before you spend anything.
